Enjoy Stonesthrow, our new cabin on the Jackson from which we launch float trips! For our float trips and for wade fishing, we also utilize public and our other private access points along the Jackson, respecting landowner rights while maximizing the fishing potential of this tailwater fishery. We can guide you on your choice--float fishing or wading--on this trout fishery, the headwaters of the James! This cabin also makes a great launching point for other fishing waters in the greater Jackson River basin. Enjoy a day you will not forget with an Angler's Lane guide.

We own land on the Staunton River and have private access along the key 20-mile stretch below Leesville Dam. In addition to our usual goal, smallmouth bass, this unpublicized river holds a Wide variety of other species including largemouth, striped bass, walleye and yellow perch. One never knows what to expect on the mysterious Staunton.

As exciting and gorgeous brook trout fishing as you will find in Virginia. Encompassing both the South Fork and North Fork of the Piney River, our private section of the Piney includes two miles of streams nestled in the southern end of the George Washington National Forest, 4 miles from the Appalachian Trail.
One moment you can catch abundant native brook trout in a freestone stream, then move to our pond where even beginning anglers can pull in sizable rainbows and brook trout up to 5 pounds. Later proceed to the South Fork for chunky brookies 10" to 20" stocked amidst beautiful, hard-fighting native brookies up to 12". Enjoy tremendous variety. Fly fishing only, catch and release.
You can rent the lodge for overnights(same arrangement as beach house--you rent the entire house, linens provided, kitchen and grill available). One can also enjoy Rivenridge with an Angler's Lane guide. Day passes available unguided if lodge not in use. Call or e-mail store for details.
