- Precise and sensitive drag
capable of protecting the lightest tippets upon start up with
minimal start-up friction
- 6061-T6 proprietary aluminum
alloy frame -- strong yet light
- Fully-anodized machined aluminum
with a reverse taper for increased control and excellent grip
- Space-age Delrin 500AF polymer
Drag Material is durable, heat resistant, self-lubricating and
maintenance free
- Anodized finish for balance of hardness and color
|
- SCS Drag with One Revolution Drag Knob
- Drag settings is numbered for easy
repeat of best performance
- Large arbor for fast line pick-up;
Concave, ported arbor for greater strength and capacity
- Ergonomic handle
- Quick-change spool mechanism
- Easy conversion from left- to right-hand
retrieve
- Neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon
reel case
- Fully machined 6061-T6 aerospace
grade aluminum
- Cold forged and tempered for
superior strength and rigidity
- Hard anodized for surface
protection and corrosion resistance
|
- Dual-axis machined frame that
dramatically strengthens the side that bears the most load.
- Foot embedded—rather than
perched—atop the reel to effectively transmit force and
distribute weight.
- Large arbor spool machined
with many subtle asymmetries that bring perfect balance without
a counterweight.
- Certified waterproof to 100
feet by an independent test laboratory, the Cobalt drag is an
industry first.
- Custom formulated
self-lubricating O-rings protect every point of ingress.
- Fixed spindle format ensures
complete sealing.
- Supercharged version of our
smooth conical drag system rotates on high-precision ABEC 5
ceramic ball bearings—and uses a proprietary high-temperature
graphite alloy to create 12+ pounds of line out torque.
- “Set drag” system of
adjustment that allows you to set a preferred stripping pressure
against a stop. Access the full range of torque in half-pound
click stop increments through a single rotation of the drag
knob, with increments etched into the knob for visual reference.
- Coating as hard as type III
anodize but with 20 times the protection against a saltwater
environment
|
- Stacked disc drag mechanism is
second to none for smoothness and consistency in retrieve
performance
- Rulon and Stainless Steel drag
discs combine to enable you to stop large fish, also provide
wide operating range of drag settings
- Precision machined 100%
aerospace bar stock aluminum and stainless steel construction
for maximum strength and corrosion protection
- Completely sealed drag mechanism
- Simple retrieve direction
conversion
- Choice of finishes--black--or
Silver with choice of internal disc colors
- Tightest drag setting is
really tight: useful if you need to break line or reel
in a really heavy fish off the bottom of the Ocean.
Caution--set it this tight and you may go in first
- Extremely light reel

Hatch Finatic Gen 2
|
Extremely durable
reel. Great reel for any freshwater and most any
saltwater situations. Real workhorse.
|
Very Smooth reel. Lightweight
yet sturdy. Can handle any freshwater applications, and the
vast majority of saltwater (11 weight rods and under). Korean
made. |
This should be Lamson's best Saltwater
reel ever and should give the Hatch Finatic a run for its money. |
Founded in 2003,
Hatch took market by storm few years later. Favorite among
many guides; we use them and love them. Second to none in
performance and consistency. Excellent stopping
power. If you can swing a Hatch then buy it--you'll love
this reel!
