With over a decade of leadership and innovation in large arbor fly reel design, Bauer is proud to introduce the all new Rogue. The Rogue features the new technology of their Carbon Fiber Composite disc drag and V-Abor design. The patented, Bauer seamless engagement carbon fiber drag system is sealed during use, yet serviceable when required. The drag system delivers silky smooth, big-fish landing performance, in all conditions.
At Angler's Lane we have been using the Rogue 2 this spring on our Jackson River trips. We can tell you with certainty that our clients love these reels as much as we do because they are light and can handle strong fish with ease.
The distinctive Rogue V-Arbor design enhances the performance advantages of the large arbor fly reel. The V-Arbor design maintains a larger effective diameter for the portion of the fly line and backing that is actually used when fishing. The balance of the backing is stored in the V bottom of the arbor, always available if needed. The light weight Rogue is a more effective tool for both fishing and landing all species of fish.

Bauer Mackenzie CFX Reels
Bauer introduced for 2011 the next generation Mackenzie, the CFX. This solid reel encompasses the retro look of the original award winning Mackenzie and the sealed, floating carbon fiber disc drag of the Rogue. The reel features a clean narrow appearance with classic multi-sized porting. The V-Arbor spool retains the detented star drag knob when removed from the reel frame so there are no loose parts. The spool and drag system rotate on sealed, precision stainless steel ball bearings. The non-corrosive, patented Bauer zero-backlash clutch permits the user to easily change retrieve direction without tools. The highly developed floating carbon fiber composite drag system delivers silky smooth performance at all settings and requires no maintenance.
The CFX model is available in five sizes for 3 wt. through 9 wt. lines. The reel is light, simple and beautiful.

Bauer Junior Mac (JM Series) Reels
The Junior Mac is a simpler version of the
MacKenzie SuperLite. The JM1 & 2 have a ported frame and the JM3, 4
& 5 have a closed frame. The reel shares many of the same features
with the MacKenzie SuperLite except the reel is narrower, with a smaller
arbor diameter and less porting. The JM uses a machined Delrin handle,
softer line out click and a round drag adjustment knob in place of the
star knob.
The Junior Mac will handle anything from trout to tarpon with superior
performance. The JM1 and JM2 handle line's up to 6 wt. The JM3 and JM4
take lines 7 through 10 wt. The JM5 handles lines 10 through 12 wt. and
the most popular 7, 8, 9 spey lines. The Junior Mac offers a great value
and is a perfect match for the outstanding entry level rods available
today.
